The Government are consulting on a revised NPPF.

There are various changes but the most significant are in relation to how housing requirements and housing land supply are treated. The other significant change relates to housing in the Green Belt with revised text stating that Local Planning Authorities do not need to review Green Belt boundaries if that is the only means to meet Objectively Assessed Housing Needs.

We have prepared a Summary Note attached which includes a breakdown of changes included in the draft NPPF and references further proposed changes coming next year as part of the Levelling up and Regeneration Bill: reforms to National Planning Policy.
